There are two mainland airports Kavala International and Thessaloniki International. Although more convenient, the smaller has fewer direct flights from Britain. The ferry is only fifteen minutes from the Keremoti ferry and the crossing takes forty minutes. Transfers from the larger airport take two hours to the Kavala ferry or two hours thirty to Keremoti. The crossing from Kavala takes seventy-five minutes. Several low cost airlines fly direct from regional airports.
