June 2025 continues the trend of falling holiday prices, with Cheeky Trip’s latest analysis revealing an average price drop of 8% compared to June 2024. This marks the biggest June-to-June fall since the Covid-hit summer of 2021, and a further decline from last June’s 2.2% year-on-year drop.
With prices falling across all booking windows and nearly every major destination, holidaymakers are being presented with excellent opportunities to save on their summer getaways.
Travel Window Overview – Prices Down Across the Board
- Holidays departing within 1 week are down 9.6% compared to June 2024.
- Holidays departing within 1 month are down 8.4% year-on-year.
- Holidays booked for six months ahead have dropped 6.3%.
This reflects a consistent easing of prices across short-, mid-, and long-term bookings, suggesting broader market adjustments rather than short-term fluctuations.
Short-Haul vs Long-Haul Trends
- Short-haul holidays are down 4.3% compared to June 2024.
- Long-haul holidays have fallen even more sharply, down 14% year-on-year.
This continues a pattern seen throughout 2025, where long-haul trips are becoming increasingly affordable, likely due to reduced demand, expanded capacity, or strategic pricing shifts by operators.

Expert Commentary
Steve Campion, Managing Director at Cheeky Trip, shared his insights on June’s figures:
“We’re seeing a very clear pattern now—2025 has delivered consistent value for travellers month after month, and June is no exception. With an 8% average price drop and destinations like Turkey down over 20%, this is shaping up to be a buyer’s market.”
He continues:
“Malta is the clear exception this month, likely driven by increased demand or reduced capacity. But elsewhere, holidaymakers have more choice and better prices than we’ve seen in several years—especially for long-haul destinations. If you’ve been waiting to book a summer escape, now’s the time to start shopping around.”
Summary
With prices down across most destinations and booking windows, June 2025 is offering strong value for sun-seekers. Whether you’re eyeing a last-minute deal or planning a long-haul adventure, there are plenty of opportunities to save this summer.
