Bournemouth

Durham is an historic city south of Newcastle in the north-east of England. Famous as the burial place of St. Cuthbert, it has a Norman Cathedral and an eleventh century castle and was designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. Built on hills and surrounded on three sides by the meandering River Wear, Durham is close to both the coast and the beautiful countryside of Weardale. There is much to see and do in both the city and the county, so you will need to prioritise your sightseeing.
