Saint George is a small, picturesque region on the island of Antigua. It is considered to be a civil parish of the region and contains the popular towns of Osbourn and Freemans Village. Osbourn is known for its glorious sandy beaches, boating and crystal-clear waters. Freemans Village is better known for its water attractions: with snorkelling, island hopping and coral reefs its main pulling points to tourists.

Because of its year round popularity, there really isn’t a bad time to visit Saint George. The busiest months with the most activity and tourist facilities are the winter months, with temperatures reaching the high 20s and people looking to escape the cold winters of the UK. May to June is a better time to go if you want to visit when the crowds have died down a little, with temperatures still remaining high. No matter when you choose to go, you can expect to have a fantastic time!
As already mentioned, the two major towns in Saint George are Osbourn and Freemans Village. Osbourn has a number of excellent attractions including the gorgeous Jabberwock Beach and Leeward Islands which are primed for exploring. Freemans Village also offers great access to the stunning Leeward Islands as well as water sports centres for adventurers of all ages and levels. Because Antigua is quite a small island, most of the other island’s best parts are only a short journey away including the famous Jolly Beach.
Saint George has a more limited amount of accommodation to choose from compared to other resorts on the island but still has enough for you to have plenty of choice. There are a few luxurious hotels dotted around the region as well as smaller, family-run hotels. Both of the main towns in Saint George have some superb places to eat that specialise in both delicious Caribbean food and international favourites for everyone to enjoy.
