October Half-Term is one of the best times of the year to book a holiday; whether you have kids or you don’t. Prices are very competitive and an autumnal getaway is for those who aren’t quite ready to let summer go just yet. The October half-term is the ideal opportunity to grab some warm sunshine as the temperatures in the UK start to fall. Many places that may have been too hot in the summer - such as the south of Spain and France - start to become much more comfortable with temperatures peaking in around the mid-20s. Places like the Caribbean or Cape Verde are sizzling destinations that are available all-year-round.

October might just be the perfect time of year to go away for a few days for a city break - especially on the continent. Temperatures in many parts of Europe are much more manageable but still very pleasant. It means plenty of sight-seeing without the drawback of sunstroke and dehydration.
