The Fiesa sand festival started in 2003  and is largest of its kind , the festival takes place  in Pêra, Algarve,  the FIESA – The International Sand Sculptures Festival sees artists from around the world come together sculpting incredible pieces of art made out of 35,000 tonnes of sand each year. With every new year comes a different theme, this year being music, the most popular in past events.

Throughout the day, guests can view the 15,000 square metres of sculptures, with live music, theatre and circus arts occupying the night. In addition an area is reserved to allow adults and children alike to express their creativity and build their own sculpture.  Tickets are very reasonable, unders 5’s are FREE, children aged from 6-12 years are €4.50 and adult tickets are priced at €9, so afforable and fun!
